2017 SPORT CHANGE TO PUSH START

I have a 2017 Sport, 4wd with remote start, but it has the key into the ignition in the dash. How hard/much is to make a push to start with new fobs? I see all kinds of kits to add remote start etc., but I have that, would just like to have push start so I don't have to fish my key out to put in the dash. I know 3rd world problems

Can we swap out the ignition switch and get new fobs for it and have them flashed? Is it something my shop could do?
I really love this truck and with the prices of new one will keep her for a while longer.

I did it to my 2018 Sport. You have to get the pushbutton switch, new fobs, a new receiver hub, 2 antennas, run additional wiring, and then use AlfaOBD to program it.

It was expensive; I wouldn't do it again. YMMV.

thanks for your reply.. I have seen a few kits that add the remote start. I read like maybe 3 small threads some place, that since the 2017 cam with the remote starts and there where models with push to start that it is possible. I for sure do not want to be a guniee pig on it..lol... just thinking/hoping there was an easy way. I will get with my mechanic and see what he has done.

As long as it has a clutch you can push start any vehicle...but it would be a real pain with a 6000 lbs truck

My 16 Sport (16's and 17's are almost identical and use same modules) came with Push to Start as OEM, so it is absolutely doable

I bought all the kit for 280 USD in a scrapyard, it’s easy to do, all it’s plug and play, only need you do the wiring but it’s easy, and activate 3 functions with alfaobd

I am trying to add push ignition start to my 2017 Ram 2500. I already added Key Fob starting. Do I need a new RF module to change to button start now? Being a 2017 I did not need to change out my RF module when I added Remote key starting.... I bought a button starrter off Ebay and it did not light up in the car. Thinking it was a bad starter or do I need a new RF Module?
