2017 steering wheel in 2005? Check.

I put a 2017 wheel in my 05. Cruise and horn works. Left side buttons useless. Matches my 4th gen seats nicely.

Required some customizing of the wiring in the steering wheel but pretty much direct swap. As far as cruise goes decel is the gear - button but all other cruise buttons function normally

Bolt pattern direct swap. Wiring you gotta splice

Nah, just repin the connector so the wiring isn't all hacked up (that's what I did, much neater). Guess the splines match right up then?

Splines do yes. But wiring work must be done to wheel for cruise/horn to work.
