Ram radio problems. I've read lots of articles on this problem. Back story is screen was delaminating and I was getting phantom cues on the screen. Such as, "do you want to reset clock". Navigation also does not work. It has me in texas then canada or lake erie etc. It shows me 90-180 Degrees off on the compass. I put a new Quescreen in that I bought on ebay. Fixed most of the phantom cues. Compass still not working and navigation still not working. Now I have the radio changing stations randomly, adjusting cab temps randomly also. Most recently I hit the sync and temp drops to low, raised it to 72 and it starts to drop till it is at the low setting, Both side react the same. I come out the next morning it works again for a week and then starts again. A new radio part# 68331635AO $1,700. Has anyone replaced with an aftermarket radio? I see some from $200 and up but most seem to not support some features. I've tried the reset, drive in circles, checked for latest updates at uconnect, talked with uconnect. This is quite a safety hazard when it's zero out and the airconditioning wants to come on. Should I buy aftermarket or OEM?

What you describe is continued phantom touches AND a failed Sierra Wireless Aircard AR7552. Both can be fixed. Happy to help if interested

Thank you for your reply, Before i buy a aircard I have been reading a little about MSISDN and SSID in dealer mode. Went out to truck and located MSISDN and to the right of it was blank. I could not find SSID, maybe it has a different acronym on my truck. I don't totally understand but it seem my radio is not able to get an upgrade with MSISDN and SSID being blank. Do I need an upgrade? Why are they blank?

Negative, that's also indicating a failed aircard. Keep in mind, all the parts (including the broken radio) are worth money should you choose to go aftermarket.

Will the numbers reappear with a new aircard? $50 vs a new radio $$$. I will probably order a aircard. I've already had it apart once for the screen might as well do it again..

My thoughts as well. Yes, the AirCard "should" populate that area of the dealer menu and restore navigation. Before purchasing, does your SXM input have audio?
