2018 Ram Express with misaligned box and bumper

SO we got our Ram sometime in June and in July, we noticed the rear box was not even on each side.

so we took it to the dealership and they called us that there was also a piece that was defective and made the bumper crooked and needed to order the part.

Being something cosmetic, I waited and waited. then 3 months go by, I contact them, Chrysler still hasn't given us the go ahead. 4 months go by, same BS.

Now going on 5 months, told them i was contacting Chrysler myself to see what was going on.

BAM, all of a sudden, oh Chrysler just emailed us with the go ahead. Big long email about how it was all a coincidence that I emailed same time they emailed.

5 months of dicking around, I'll be bringing it to another dealer once I speak to Chrysler on the phone.

my last 2 rams have had the cab and box not aligned correctly. The bed is not adjustable. I ended up adjusting both myself. loosen cab bolts and move cab to where ya want it. wasnt to bad of a job..maybe an hour.

As the last post says, it’s likely the cab that isn’t on straight, not the bed.

But they also told me there was a defective part that is holding the bumper. new truck, i shouldn't have to straighten anything myself. we had a jeep from them, they also dicked aroudn a bit but then they had gotten better. we gave them a second chance. 5 months and countless calls and emails, finally mention calling Chrysler Canada and they will now fix it all. Bad customer service.

Moving the cab still won't fix the crooked bumper. sorry guys just felt like venting away.

Just curious - but why buy it that way if you're not satisfied? I would have made that a part of the purchase agreement that they fix that prior to taking ownership.

It was our 1st new truck and wasn't something we noticed until weeks later. Believe me, if I had noticed, I wouldn't have bought it like that.

Thankfully it was an easy fix. I'm surprised there's that much leeway in the cab mounts. Also disturbed it made it out of the factory that way. Car haulers only strap the tires these days so you wouldn't think it happened during transport.
