2018 RAM Owners Need Your Help

For those that aren't aware, back in September 2018 Uconnect sent out an over the air update that has killed the sound quality of our 8.4 stereos. It now sounds like you are inside a fish bowl when listening to radio or SXM or USB input. There is a 76 page thread about it in the Audio & Electronics section.

Uconnect has done nothing to fix the problem, nor do they act like they care. We are now trying to shame them into fixing it via social media.

Hm. I will look into that. I have not noticed any sound quality degrade in mine. Not sure I have the latest update though either.

This must be on a case by case basis. I have the latest version and there's zero sound quality degradation. Maybe there's a correlation between those without the Alpine sound system and those with it? My PW has the Alpine system, however I know not all of them have it.

The bad update only effected the 8.4" 2018 and 8.4" 2019 radios. The ones with Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

And that's the exact one I have in my 2018 PW w/Alpine system. Zero issues.
