2019 classic has broke window regulator twice so far this winter

I have a 2019 bighorn classic and twice this winter it has broken the clips that hold the window to the regulator Both times it was snowy and I was letting truck warm up and touched the window switch and it auto downs and breaks the clips. Than the window unfreezes and drops into the door. Is anyone else having this problem? Can they turn the autodown window option off? I understand you shouldn’t use the window if it froze shut but I’ve been driving 30 years and never had a truck do this before

If you dont want to do the auto down just dont press the button as hard. You will feel a slight click when you push the button.

I have the same issue on my 2018 PW. I can't for the life of me find where to get new ones either. Have you found a replacement or did you have to replace the whole inner panel? Any information would be helpful. I'm currently driving around with a vice grip in the door to hold up the window due to this being my sole work truck and it's -10F outside. Also I was going to try and use the warranty. Again, any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. God Bless.

I had mine break on my 2017 yesterday. I was really pissed when I saw on the repair ticket "replaced with updated part". Which made me think they knew there was a problem with the original part. I guess the update isnt any better. I will be careful about opening my windows six months out of the year from here on.

ALL my mopars since 2000 have had to replace regulators, I thought because of the hot dry climate. A new 19, Cold now too? Wow you would think an auto manufacturer could design such a simple part to last. The 04 Liberty after 75 K ate six in two years.

AFAIK at some point they went to metal clips to hold the glass in since the plastic ones seem to break.

Curious if yours has the metal ones, considering its so new I wonder if they ever really did change them or only install the metal ones if/when they feel like it.

My truck did this to me once and since then I’ll never roll my windows down till I pass my little friend along the bottom of the window first. ThiS should come with every ram!

I use one of them fake credit cards that I kept when they tried to hock their card on me.

My 2018 has plastic. After I opened up the inner door panel I was honestly extremely disappointed about the robustness of the parts I found inside.

No it was not. I had just rolled over 38k and the cut off was 36k miles.
