I just bought this truck this past summer and bought it used. It now has about 25k miles on it. I have had no problems until this morning...

I pulled off my street, was doing 35-40 mph and the truck suddenly died. I braked to a stop, put the truck into park and the truck cranked right back up. As soon as I put it back into gear, it immediately died. I had to do this 10-15 times before I was able to put it into gear and it didn't die. I got about a half mile further down the road and it died again. 10-15 more times of cranking it, then it dieing as soon as I put it into gear, It finally stayed running and I pulled into a convenience store I was next to when it died. I immediately parked, killed the truck, cranked it back up, put it into gear and it immediately died. I called for a ride and had the truck towed to the dealership.

Any ideas what is wrong? I do not recall seeing a Check engine light, but it may have lit up. Truck ran great, no missing, spitting or sputtering...no indication of anything wrong. Even immediately after dieing, and I would recrank it, it sounded and idled great, until I would move the selector knob out of park to put it into gear.

Have u recently gotten gas? Sounds fuel related bad pump bad gas ect. Maybe bad crank or cam sensor could be 1000 different things on these modern vehicles.

Good thing is that it's still under warranty.

I filled up with gas on Monday and had burned about half that tank when the problem happened. Surely bad gas would have had it running rough, idling rough, etc.

I just hope they can duplicate the problem or that it threw a code.

I was told today they found a harness connector that was smashed against the frame and they would be replacing it to see if that fixes the problem!

Thanks for the update. Sorry I didnt see your last comment till now. Bad gas shows up faster than half a tank. Good luck and hope they figure it out.

Hopefully that will fix it. However, what smashed the harness?

Truck is ready for me to pickup... the advisor said some wires coming out of the PDC were being pinched and causing the stall.

I also had them do the service bulletin for the screaming brakes in reverse.
