I just bought this truck this past summer and bought it used. It now has about 25k miles on it. I have had no problems until this morning...
I pulled off my street, was doing 35-40 mph and the truck suddenly died. I braked to a stop, put the truck into park and the truck cranked right back up. As soon as I put it back into gear, it immediately died. I had to do this 10-15 times before I was able to put it into gear and it didn't die. I got about a half mile further down the road and it died again. 10-15 more times of cranking it, then it dieing as soon as I put it into gear, It finally stayed running and I pulled into a convenience store I was next to when it died. I immediately parked, killed the truck, cranked it back up, put it into gear and it immediately died. I called for a ride and had the truck towed to the dealership.
Any ideas what is wrong? I do not recall seeing a Check engine light, but it may have lit up. Truck ran great, no missing, spitting or sputtering...no indication of anything wrong. Even immediately after dieing, and I would recrank it, it sounded and idled great, until I would move the selector knob out of park to put it into gear.
