My 2019 Ram has a tire pressure sensor issue. It shows one tire with 29 lbs and the rest at 37 lbs. Tire pressure gauge says all at 37. Trouble is that it alternates tires. One day, right rear tire. 2 days later, left rear tire. 2 days later, left front tire. Keeps going around the block, so to speak. All tires up to snuff. Has anyone else had this problem, and how is it solved? Thanks for any input. That tire icon on the dash gets annoying !!

My 2012 Factory OEM sensors were also unpredictable and intermittent… I got so tired of false-warnings I decided I was ready to destroy them….. When I mentioned it to my Discount Tire store…. They replaced them all with a German mfr’d aftermarket set… and re-programmed my truck…and NO MORE PROBLEMS.

It cost me a few bucks…but was WORTH IT.

I have a simular problem, one out of the four keep saying that tire is flat. I took my truck to the dealer for another issue, but told the service writer to change all of them so I could 'cure the problem'. He asked if I was sure, to which I asked why not, he said it would be over 600.00 to have them all replaced. I told him to forget it.

Sounds crazy but this worked on a 2012 Journey we had. Air the tires down to 15-20psi then over inflate the tires by at least 20% of your recommended psi then air them back down to recommended psi. I called it “exercising” the sensors. May not work for you but it doesn’t cost anything but time to try it.

It was my understanding that TPMS sensors on spares are Not Active until the tire is mounted and rotated. Centrifugal force activates the sensor….. otherwise the TPMS battery would discharge/die.
Also, a spare being carried beneath the vehicle is usually out-of-range of the receivers, as well as not displayed on the dash due to position.

PLS reply back. I just had the 4th sensor replaced, so all my on the road tires now done. I asked the "Service" writer if the spare tire had a "sensor", and he said no, so should be interesting to see what you find out.

Just FYI: the sensor (1) (ea), from Dealership parts dept, OEM was $73.35. That price allegedly changes each month when MA Mopar puts out a price list to dealers. This is what I was told at the Dealership, so pls take with a grain of salt.

I found it interesting that my 14 never had an issue with TPMS sensors the entire 10 years I had it and sold at 176k, but the 19 Bighorn I bought used has had three sensors replaced over the time I've owned and it currently has 61K on it. Otherwise it has run perfect except for needing a software update to correct a Service Traction Control code.
