New to the Ram and wanting to tow camper 4000lb empty. I have installed the factory brake controller and programmed and it seems to work on my short test drive just fine. I was really wondering if I should install any auxiliary trans cooler or oil cooler or did Ram build it adequately with towing cooling in mind? From specs I should be equipped up to about 8k for towing.
We do have some mountains in the east to warm it up a bit.
5.7 hemi etorque, 8spd, 3.21 axle, class IV factory installed.

I wouldn't worry about it. That's not a super heavy load... just make sure to drop it down a few gears and you'll do fine

You have a 5th gen truck there. So technically you are in the wrong forum. But you shouldn't need additional cooling for that load; just watch the temps of the coolant oil and transmission while towing. I usually have that up when towing my 5400lb loaded camper. Some of those mountains in the east, while not super tall overall, have surprisingly long uphill grades. Slow down if temps start rising too high. On my 4th gen, I never have issues with transmission temps but oil temps get higher in the mountains and occasionally coolant temps will also rise. If coolant gets near 230, I back off the gas and slow a bit. I tend to do the same if oil gets much over 260. In most situations I don't even get that high but if I do usually slowing down just a little will allow it to get back below those numbers.
