2020 5.7 Hemi - Seafoam aerosol direct to TB safe for ECT??

Current 2020 Hemi is my first with ECT. I know they say absolutely NO Throttle body cleaner on ECT, but rather brake cleaner… but can’t specifically find answer as to if the Seafoam aerosol direct through TB is safe on ECT electronic throttle? Or even necessarry?


I have done a full removal and cleaning of TB on my 2003 in past but found equally good results a few years ago running Seafoam Upper Engine Cleaner or Deep Creep, both aerosol sprays, through the air intake into TB while assembled(air filter off of course).

Throttle body cleaner and brake cleaner about identical, sea foam is about the mildest cleaner akin to WD-40.

Supposedly there's a TSB out that advises against using throttle body cleaner,but i've yet to see it.Maybe somebody can look it up.I'm guessing it's because it doesn't evaporate as fast as brake clean does,and might run down the shaft and into the electronics potentially causing damage,but that's only my guess,lol
If you spray it on a rag,i don't really see any reason to worry over using either one
