Hey everyone,
I recently installed a high-flow filter and a Borla Atak system. The truck sounds amazing, but I'm curious about the next step.
Since the 2021 computers are locked, is the cost of an unlock and custom tune worth it for these two mods? I'm looking for a boost in throttle response and overall power.
For those with a similar setup, did you notice a big change in how the truck drives? Or is it better to stick with a plug-and-play module to avoid the unlock process?
Appreciate the help

I would say Yes & Yes to the costs vs. benefit question.

I've tuned a 5.7L & 6.4L HEMI (no unlocks were needed) and a 6.7L Cummins (unlock needed) the results were excellent.

On the HEMI trucks I used a DiabloSport programmer and custom tunes by HEMIFEVER and I'd do it all over again.

There is no programming available for my 2024 yet but when it becomes available it will be time for me to tune yet another HEMI.

Good luck and YMMV.

Here's a short vid of my 2014 6.4L HEMI tuned truck with a S&B intake and a Magnaflow exhaust:

I installed one of these. It puts a huge smile on my face almost every time I get behind the wheel.

And, I've detuned a slight bit to compensate for all the white stuff on the ground, between the ice patches.

Yup worth every penny, especially the way Flying Ryan tunes that 8 speed :peace:

No one uses diablows anymore with these 8 speeds. so it may seem cheaper but you won't be getting anything close to what HP tuners offers.

Either way get on the High Performance Ram FB page to see what tuner is close to you if you don't want to do email tunes.

I connected to Ryan via email on Friday. In our brief discussion, he indicated he could help me with my.2024, by tuning a few things I want addressed and unlocking the pcm.

Around January of 2026, we start the actual process.
