My 2022 Ram 2500 Diesel has been at the dealer since about mid May 2025, for transmission issues, saying that it will need a new transmission. The dealer says they are awaiting Warranty approval from Corporate. This seems excessively long, @RamCares . what do I need to do to get this ball rolling. Vin is 3C6UR5DL5NG126812

Something doesn't add up here.... And that VIN says it's for a Ford Edge?

Welcome to the new normal of Stellantis. All repairs are approved/disapproved by Indians at some 3rd party vendor. Communication is by your dealership sending photos. Your dealership probably got a request for more info, missed it, and it's sat ever since. You can see my experience here: https://www.ramforum.com/threads/ramcare-and-ram-remain-useless.218738/#post-3020864

In short, Ram Cares is useless. You'll get no help from them and just passed around with a meaningless assurance it's been 'escalated'. The *only* thing that finally got it taken care of was emailing Tim Kuniskis (CEO of Ram) and his executive assistant. I still had to do the legwork of finding a transmission in stock at another dealership and refusing to go away or be quiet until they agreed to ship the in stock transmission to the repairing dealership.

My tranny in my 2022 diesel was replaced with a factory remanufactured unit at 12k miles. The approval process was about two weeks, and another two weeks to get the replacement installed. On dis-assembly the techs found alot of clutch material, and such. So FCA demanded they tear down the old trans to see what parts would be needed to fix it. If the cost of the repair parts exceeds the cost of the reman trans that what you get.

I also had ramcares involved, and cant really say they expedited anything during the downtime of the repair. They pinged on the dealer quite often though, which might have helped them get it done quicker?
