Is there any car company more mismanaged than Stellantis in the US right now?

"Lifetime" warranty outsourced to India

Parts on back order

@RamCares doesn't answer pings or messages

Ram Cares phone line gets you an Indian who doesn't know anything other than someone will call you back within one business day

No ETA for parts

Good luck to the people who fall for the new "10 year power train" warranty. I wouldn't warranty a blender or lawn mower with Stellantis.

After a year of waiting on parts to be available for the side window airbag recall on my Chrysler 300, I called the dealership to have mine done two weeks ago yesterday. I'm on the list. The dealer is limited to only ordering two replacement kits per week.

Good thing it's not urgent. Oh, wait...

Unfortunately this is going to get worse, not better. They are in deep financial trouble so reducing inventory, including parts, denying warranty, jacking prices is going to be the pattern for quite a while.
I agree, going to get much worse. Almost like the late 1970s early 1980s type of bad, if not worse. I remember back then when a differential assembly was on "back order" for a year! I suggested pulling one off the assembly line, which was a "thing" that could be done in days gone by.
New vehicle assembly and parts distribution, while being the same part, flow through different streams.

HEADS UP.. Stellantis has "moved" all customer support including Uconnect to call centers in Asia. The "Agents" have no product knowledge and work strictly from computer screen prompts. This is causing major issues with not only owners but for dealers also as there is no and I mean no communication for anyone with any type of issues whether its a simple product question or a major safety or warrantee issue.
I think that you can almost forget any kind of dispute resolution from using these "agents" as they don't even speak or understand the English language.

Hmm, I had a longer wait than usual for MaxCare warranty but when I called it went to some guy based in the US. Takes 2 days to get warranty approval he said. Fuel pump was replaced last week.

This is 100% accurate. I've sat in on a dealership call trying to get this resolved. It's like talking to an AI, but with a thick accent. "So I understand your problem is you don't have a transmission and you want a transmission, am I understanding the problem correctly?" is a real sentence I heard.

My last 3 vehicles have all been under the FCA/Stellantis umbrella. We were about to make it 4 with a Jeep for my wife. We test drove a 4runner today instead. CPO 2023 with the stone age simple 4.0 V6 and 5A. I've *never* bought an Asian brand while living in the US (Isuzu while living overseas) but it's this or Ford.

I would love to have the number you called. I've called Ram Care, tried to contact the executive for customer service, and all I get is "we'll call you back with information" and the information is wait for more information.

I have the MaxCare warranty purchased in 2015 but the number has been the same all these years. Plan is no longer offered. Paid for itself and then some. I will admit the menu options are geared towards someone from the dealer calling.

I have the lifetime MaxCare. I'll give that number a try if the case manager doesn't call tomorrow.

For some reason they called my son instead of calling me, despite me being the owner and despite me calling in the case and leaving my number. He dropped it off at the dealership, so I guess they didn't bother to look at the number I left and got it from the computer system or the like.

"We'll try to get you one as soon as we can" was the message. So, again, completely useless. Not even a window for an ETA.

The "Lifetime warranty" apparently means it takes a lifetime to get something as fundamental as a transmission.

Just for fun, I looked at OEM parts websites for competitor trucks of the same year. Guess who had transmissions available? *ALL OF THEM*

Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, even *Nissan* has them in stock. You are worse than Nissan. I'm laughing, but honestly that should sting. I'm guessing in a few years Ram will be somewhere between Saab and International for parts availability....

All I got on a call the other day was, "All representatives are busy, call back later" and a hangup

I agree. I am ready to replace my 2019 Longhorn 1500, and I have owned many Chrysler products over the years. But I am not about to pay $70+K for a vehicle with no customer service.
I bought a 2006 300C new and had an ongoing issue with the GPS. It took several visits to dealers to get the issue fixed; they just kept changing the unit while I was telling them that it was not going to fix it. I got great support from a lady in Customer Service, she talked to an engineer who said another dealer had a great electrician he had worked with before. They furnished me with a rental car since that dealer was 150 miles away. That technician found the problem before I got back home.
For my inconvenience, the lady gave me an extended warranty for free.
I am just putting off a purchase. Ford has major quality issues, and GM has engine issues. I need a pickup to tow my travel trailer so I will wait another year or two until I no longer tow a trailer and buy an SUV from whatever company builds something worth a damn. I sure hate to buy foreign.

I agree 100% with all the comments here I tried calling about a month ago with a couple issues I thought should’ve been covered and got nowhere! I couldn’t understand the person I was talking to and just hung up the phone! So frustrating!

I think they have a bad time trying to find qualified people in the USA , so they outsourced to a third world for help.

This is what we get .

Trying to order a burger at micky ds is a challenge for the people behind the counter.

Asking about technology is about impossible when the other end barely speaks English.

We should get the new boss to view our forum , RAM may learn something from their customers .

ATTENTION @RamCares .

PAY ATTENTION @RamCares.

No. It was cheaper. There's plenty of qualified workers in the US, but you have to pay them more than you can pay an Indian call center.

Big difference between 5 weeks for a new engine and 5 weeks for everyday parts. I would also bet, Toyota gave him a loaner while he waits. Try and get that out of Ram.
