Hello. We work on the road and pull our camper wherever we go. Its time to change the air filter. The only stores I have locally are Autozone and Orielly. Is there a brand that is ok to run in my 2022 6.7? I would like to find a brand that is easily accessible while we are on the road. Thanks

Your first choice should be the Fleetguard AF-27684 then the Mopar 68645327AA, if you don't have factory warranty you could get by with a Wix air filter or a Hastings/Bladwin but the first 2 are the ones to use

Given the history of frequent regen issues with 22+ trucks, I would keep some 68645327AA on hand.

I have an aftermarket filter on there now, I believe it's a Donaldson. It has the glue strips. Doing a search on the net, it is telling me that I need the Mopar 53034051AB (I couldn't find anything in the manual). I have been seeing many a lot of confusion online about glue strips or no glue strips. It is so confusing. I am also seeing both the AA and AB filter pics online not having glue strips, but I know that is not true. Does the AA have the glue strips? Sorry about the long response.

Do Not run a parts store filter, that is just asking for issues. OEM/Fleetgaurd only. Go to Geno's garage and order a couple (along with the fuel filters) to keep on hand.

.
Thank you for the response, and the advise.

Thank you for the response. I've seen a lot of disagreements about the glue strips, and a lot of confusion (even with the pics online). Do the 22's need the glue strips? Thank you for the advice.

The glue strips were just a way to distinguish between the two filters at the time. They were not the root of the issue. The Mopar 68645327AA is the current proper filter. It has glue strips, but is not the same as the prior glue strip filter. At this point I'm not sure I'd even run the Fleetguard AF27684.

I just traded my '24 away, so my regen concerns are gone.

I go to Genos for all my filters. They ship the day they get the order never more than 3 days to get my parts.

I have only used the Fleetguard AF27684 air filter in my 2022, I have not had any problems from using it and it they were much cheaper than a Mopar air filter when I purchased several of them...

I thought I had a Donaldson filter in there, but it was the Fleetguard AF27684. I just went ahead and purchased another, as it didn't cause any issues that I know of.

Yeah, I guess the issue was the oil that was on the filter, getting on the MAF and causing off-readings.

Not sure how dirty yours gets but I have found out with my truck only 1/2 of the air filters gets dirty in 12K so I just turn the air filter 1/2 turn and use the clean side, I hate to trash a filter when only half of it was dirty ;)

Thank all of you for your advise. I'm going to run a Fleetguard again since it hasn't caused any issues that I know of.

That is the way mine is as well, except mine seems to be more in the center. Couldn't believe the amount of ladybugs in there this time.
