New member here... Very frustrated with my new truck/dealership. Background: At 14,000 miles, engine light with continuous cylinder misfire. Dealer had no loaners for several days, finally they gave me a car which really didn't help as I need to haul an extension ladder for work (self employed). #8 cyl misfire confirmed so they moved the injector to #6 and 6 misfired (therefor they said "bad injector"... replaced it and gave truck back to me.
At 14,298mi (12 days later), chk eng light back on with continuous cylinder misfire again. This time they had a loaner truck for me. Notes from dealer ... (cyl #1 deactive code, diagnosed and found no issues at this time with mds. Moved cyl 1 injector to cyl 2 and also removed fuel rail and found 2 "white particles" which came out while cleaning. Recheck with no misfires. Drove for 122 miles and could not recreate the concern, marked injector w/green paint). They then returned the truck to me.
Now... at 19,000 miles (3 mos later), chk eng light back on with continuous cylinder misfire. Went to dealer today, they have no loaners and it'll be at least 1.5 weeks before they "may" have a loaner. I kept the truck and plan to drive it while misfiring (dealer said it shouldn't hurt anything) until I go out of town in 2 weeks (we'll take wifes car and leave them my truck).
I inquired at the dealership about "lemon law" and was told that's something I'd need to address with FCA but they "fixed" the problem each time so it wouldn't qualify. Clearly they haven't "fixed" anything. I'm not only frustrated with my new truck being back and forth to the dealer, but the fact there's no "clear" solution. Called FCA today and they opened a "case file"... Any advise/suggestions for me?
