I've listened to AC/DC on and off for many decades and some days I can take it or leave it but, when I hear the opening to Highway to Hell or Hells Bells, that's just an invitation to stretch out the speakers a bit.

I remember watching them in concert at the Ottawa Civic Centre in the '70s, what a show.

.
I'm still a Boston fan,but if AC/DC comes on i usually don't change radio stations ,hell i like a lot of Chers stuff from the 80's :waytogo: :Big Laugh:

4 votes for the non-E-Torque.

Although the new '23 is tempting, I wouldn't touch the E-Torque, with or without warranty.
You can add an extended warranty with Grainger or Mark Dodge, IIRC, if that provides a better piece of mind, I would.

And, tb56 nailed it. Most of us only have opinions created by reading and some technical training/knowledge that crosses over to this automotive/rolling computer world.

We do NOT have knowledge just specific opinions. PPL like @Wild one and @Sherman Bird have the mechanical knowledge.

We just have opinions based on personal experiences and a lot of reading and informed ppl in this forum.

MY Opinion only: non E torque ne day of week but that is my thoughts. Yet I would pick even an E TQ junkoka over a Chevy 5.3 eco junk. See varies.

I think that’s a good choice. I personally never had issues with either of the two etorque trucks we owned but I know people who have had issues with them, along with the long wait times for replacement parts they went through.

Here's another crazy thought for you, David.

I'm constantly reading about members who have grief and have had to leave their ride parked at a dealership for an extended period, $hit happens.

Well, after paying for a new truck, you would think they could at least provide you with a loaner vehicle, but that doesn't seem to be a common occurrence.

I'd try to negotiate for that to be included in the written sales agreement, even if they want a few $ more. Trust me, if you draw that unlucky card, you will be very pleased not to have to pay for your rental. Make sure it covers loaners from any dealership, with your out-of-town purchase.

I switched dealers last year after several unpleasant experiences with an SA. The new to me dealership looked at my original sales contract and then provided me with a loaner during a warranty repair last Fall.

That, or find an insurance policy that includes loss of use coverage for breakdowns.

RamDiver makes a solid point. I've been bitten by the no loaner vehicle issue twice....

Once with our local FCA dealer when our charger went into the shop for a radio replacement.... The car had 5k miles on it and blue screened. They told me they didn't have any loaners available and to get one and send them the invoice. When we went to reserve the rental, we sent the rental info to the service manager and he approved it in writing. After we brought the rental invoice to him, he balked and said he wasn't paying it. We had to go all the way to the owner of the dealership to get it paid.

Second time was with our Expedition. FORD corporate approved a rental in writing since the dealer told us and Ford they had no loaners available. We ended up in a rental for 6 months. Ford paid half and made us eat the remaining half ($1,500).

Get it in writing as a part of the agreement.

I asked the dealership like 3 times to verify that the 22 I am buying is non-etorque and they said affirmed it was non-etorque
Can i verify that by the VIN # ???

maybe. Lemme look at my sons old one and mine: OK see below:

if nothing else U get a lot of info on yer truck.

Also, WHEREVER U buying vehicle from, go to their Website and Download the Moroney sheet (ie., window sticker) ... It will list what engine and stuff on the sticker.

ADDED: Look for this line listed in Optional Equipment on Build Sheet: If you find this line, that will tell you if it has E Torque.

If you find the line below, VEHICLE does not have E Torque.

Dealership says non-etorque
I am on the phone with Ramtrucks.com and the 'person' says it is a e-torque based on the VIN # i gave them.
However, i am speaking with someone who is not a tech or mechanic!!!

Tried your links and they came up blank - will try again

From the Window Sticker:
Interior: Deluxe Cloth Bucket Seat Engine: 5.7L V8 HEMI® MDS VVT Engine Transmission: 8–Speed Automatic 8HP75 Transmission
5.7L V8 HEMI® MDS VVT Engine $2,795

Is this a E-Torque Hemi?

I don't see the words E-Torque anywhere, I'd say you are safe.

I would think either one of those checks would have informed you if it was E-Torque.
