So two weeks ago I purchased my first RAM truck, a 2025 1500 Big Horn quad cab with the 6 cylinder engine. I've previously owned a Ford F150 and two Toyota Tundras a 2006 and 2010. I looked at buying a Gen III Tundra and had a line on a low mileage, 5000 miles, 2025 SR5 but I waited to long to pull the trigger and someone else snapped it up. I was a bit wary of buying a Gen III Tundra because of the issue with engines failing starting in the 2022 MY and persisting into the 2025 MY. I've only owned my RAM for two weeks but so far I'm really enjoying the ride which is much smoother than my old Tundra. I see RAM trucks on the road every day so they're a very popular truck and I have a few friends that own RAM trucks who have been very happy with them.

As a recent buyer of a 2014, first RAM, gotta tell you, this place can be both scary and useful. Have fun with your first RAM, I am with mine!
I looked at a low mileage 2015 RAM 1500 before I bought my 2025 RAM but a couple things about that truck made me hesitate on pulling the trigger. I got an extended warranty on my RAM for cheap, hopefully I won't have any issues but if I do at least I'm covered. One thing I learned after looking into buying a new truck is they all have issues of some sort or another.

I also just bought my first Ram, (2025 Big Horn with the 3.6L V-6) after being a Tundra owner for 13 years. I had a 2010 Tundra Ltd and racked up 235k miles with no issues. I have to say, I am very much enjoying the Ram and its nice ride. I also took a 2025 Tundra SR5 for a test drive, and was quite disappointed in the road noise/ride. Especially for what they wanted $$$$. Although I don't think I will get that kind of mileage out of the Ram, I'm hoping to enjoy the Ram for a long time. I have a couple of friends who own Rams and they love them.

Welcome to Ram Forum.

I traded a 2007 Tundra Limited DC for a new '21 Warlock 5.7 in January 2022.
I had signed for a V6, non-e-Torque and then changed my mind the next week.
The dealership was gracious enough to make the change without skipping a beat.

The Tundra was awesome, being fully loaded for 2007, but not remotely as much fun to drive as the Ram truck.

Enjoy your new Ram.

I wish I could have racked up that many miles on my 2010 Tundra but the rear pinion gear was going and the frame was rusting out which meant I was looking at $5000+ to repair both. My Tundra only had a tad over 121000 miles but it didn't make sense, at least to me, to pour 5 grand into a 15 year old truck so I ended up with the RAM which I'm happy with so far. I have a few friends that own RAM's and they all say they're happy with their trucks and their trucks have been problem free.
