I decided to place this here. I have a Zone 6" Lift with 5" rear coils and Bilsteins @2.8 up front on 20x12 -44 fuel mavericks. Before I get to my question I would like to show some love to this forum for some awesome info before my build. Quick shout out to @Heucobob @Drummin4jc @Jwithing @Dangulo @R.L.K. @Curlyp @quietpeen and probably some others for answering my questions!!! Now the question is do I get bushwacker flares or not?

Yes, get bushwacker flares color matched if you've got the money to spend. I'm typically not a fan of large fender flares, but think it's an asthetic must on a lifted truck. It's also funtional to save your paint when those big meat treads trap gravel and fling it out. Of course the final decision is up to you, but I think my truck is a good comparison of a sport w/ them if you want to have a visual.

I did, twice, and took them off each time. The truck has a beautiful stance. I've had the -44 for about a year and a half now or so, and I don't see any scratches in on my panels from rocks or anything. I'd say naw, don't get 'em.

I'd say yes. Gives a beefier look to a lifted truck. More importantly, protection from sling. I had a few scratches down the side of my truck from sling and it would get dirty much faster without them. Guess it really just depends on where you drive it.

Before and after pics with the same wheel setup.

I did buy the paint matched ones they are sitting in my garage I just now don’t know if I want them. I should add that I do have offset mud flaps that will cover the tread width so I don’t think I will have to much back spray from rocks or anything.

Yes get the flares! If you hold out like me you end up needing to fix the paint on your doors and rocker panels. Speaking of which I'll be putting my flares next week.

You might be good then. You running A/T tires? That can reduce odds a bit. The M/T tires are good at picking up larger rocks and throwing them like a professional baseball player. If you just got the truck or added the flaps, you'll know soon enough if they are protecting the truck!
