My '17 2500 CCLB 6.4 4.10s got about 13.0 for the first 1500 moles. Then I put 275/70R18 Mudders on it and now I'm getting 10.5 to 12. Always. Uphill, downhill, flat, upside down, it don't matter. It's a lot of truck to move.

WAIT! Mine are folded down, maybe if they were up it’ll get better. :jester:

I believe the trick is to turn them sideways and they act like RedBull and give you wings!

Very nice!!!

And why does it seem more fun now the older we get?? Compared to being a punk kid speeding around in our fast car/ truck. Lol

Fuel grade (87-98-93 oct) makes a hell of a difference. Station brand can affect mpg also.
Ram 2500 trucks 6.4L require 89 or better octane.

I have a 2500 Tradesman PW.
I average around 14 combined. I also run only 93 Oct.
Unless I can find 100% pure gas. If I use the 100% then my mpg goes up to 17.5. It costs me about the same as 93 Oct. 6ed456fde266225d10769da015ab9cf1.png

I Love my 18 Ram 2500 4x4 CC U.S.M.C.(ret) CPL

For some, this will sound crazy. In our 6.4 2500 running on Ca crap gas. 91 octane gets us on average, about 1 gal better mileage. We always disable MDS. My accountant wife has been keeping hand calc records and comparing them to the menu calc for the last 1000 miles. Go figure. Maybe the reason is less throttle pressure required to move the vehicle. Maybe it is a volume, physics reason. Can only speculate. But 15 around town, no towing, is fine.

I think it's because when we were young, we had no idea how dangerous (ie stupid) the stuff we did was, as opposed to now, when we absolutely know it is and therefore makes the thrill that much more intense...

Just wanted to see how my mpg compares to the other Hemi powered 2500 owners.

My Mega has a stock motor, aftermarket exhaust (I think, unless these trucks have a loud tone), and 285 R17 A/T Tires. With Regular fuel best highway mpg I seen so far was 13 mpg A few guys I work with said I should be seeing around 16 mpg......?

I'm lucky to get 12 everyday driving. Up and down hills kills the mileage. If you're getting 16 it's likely you live in flatlands, not hill country. When I hook up the trailer I expect to get 8 MPG with it in tow mode.

13 depending on what I’m doing. Good mix of city stop n go and hilly driving. Almost never in 6th I lock it into 5th. Sometimes little better sometimes lil worse. Unless I’m towing then we’ll just don’t look

My 04 1500 gets worse than you op, granted all the driving is short city. Tho truck being cammed running of a sc tune it prob is leaving some mpg an performance on the table. Bout 11-12 city but can get decent hwy mpg if I keep it under 70 lol(damn 4.56s)

6.4 4.10 power wagon on 285x70-R17, I see about 13mpg mixed highway and city. Drops to ~11 when I'm towing our camper.

My ‘06 2500 4x4 with 5.7 and manual trans plus 22” Magnaflow gets high 13s on Highway with A/C. Will get about +1.5 MPG w/o A/C. 10.5 MPG around town. The exhaust definitely added better gas mileage.

2018 ram PW, 4.10 gears 6.4L. 15MPG is what i average on the freeway at 70mph. I did average 18.5 mpg going through the columbia river gorge heading east (2omph tail wind, trip back was 12) I did try going 60mph on the interstate and my avg was 17 mpg but it's hard to go that slow.
