2500 power wagon on 2 post lift question

Hello,

Looking to do some work on my 2024 2500 pw and need to put it on my asymmetrical 2 post lift.

I do have bendpak' lift diagram that shows lift points behind front and rear links.

My question is how far past the columns should I pull the vehicle in?

My last vehicle 2500 Avalanche, I pulled it in just past the door mirrors.

Not alot of frame rail clearance to place the pads.

I lift these trucks daily. With the Power Wagons I pull the mirrors 6"-12" past the lift post and rack it up. On trucks with weight in the bed I will take the mirror 18" past the lift post. Have fun and get to wrenchin'!

I'm not on this forum often, but did just respond to your other question you referenced in an old post of mine.

I would suggest you determine your CG first. Go to a truck stop, pull on the scale and use the call button to tell them what your doing. If your wheel base is long enough to place the steers on the front pad and the drives on the one behind, it'll be simple.

If not, just figure a way to get front and rear axle weights separately.

You can then determine the CG by measuring from center of front wheel to center of rear and dividing appropriately.

Then you can snap chalk lines perpendicular to the orientation of your asymmetric posts at the shop. Where they intersect is where you should attempt to place your vehicle CG.

Most guys don't have the time to do all that, because they're trying to make a living and use their judgement, guided by experience. I'm old and retired, so I've got the time to tinker.

I definitely don't position the Pick up as far forward as I would have on my old symmetric lift!.

My 2023 2500 Diesel ends up with the mirrors maybe 1.5" past the posts, which matches CG locations pretty accurately.

I had this one professionally installed by Rotary, because it doubled my warranty term, it was only 1,200.00...and I'm getting too old, been doing this kind of stuff for the last 45 years

I did remove and sell my old Mohawk symmetrical lift first.

Rotary comes back once a year to inspect the lift and mounting for a very small fee... do you have a specific safety concern with Rotary ???

I don't understand your comment/question about bolt securement?? All of those specifications are obvious, as is concrete depth and reinforcement.

Just don't want to miss an actual safety issue that I'm not aware of, please advise.
