You can but there will be an indention and some holes in the metal from where it is

Technically yes, but it is bolted to the tailgate not just taped like the door badges.

It wasn't on my 2018 2500. Taped...But it does have these plastic pegs that get inserted into some holes.

Thanks guys. Some of the chrome is coming off so I was just going to remove it.

Technically yes, but it is bolted to the tailgate not just taped like the door badges.
It's not bolted in. It does have alignment holes and there is an indentation that the Ram's head recesses into. If someone was thinking to switch to the RAM letters, unfortunately the "A" won't cover where the Ram's head sits.

Brother, I looked long & hard at that photo trying to find where the chrome is coming off. I can't find it. It's your truck but I'd leave it. You might be opening a can-o-worms.

OP what I’d do is get some color match touch up paint and paint over the peeling part and order 1 like @PullYa has on his truck. It lights up.
