I don't think one is longer than the other, a member said it was because of the way they "twist" that it makes them longer when they are switched.

I know member "bullram" on this forum replaced his CST extended stainless brake lines and went back to his stock brake lines. (and he actually has 4" lift spindles)

Ok, I'll send him a pm and see if he'd be willing to sell them. Thanks bud! Ill be ordering the spindles tomorrow

Wish i woulda seen this before i ordered the 2.5" spring spacers for mine. What a nightmare the 2wd's are to add a spacer to, atleast the 2.5" ones. I couldnt get the spring to seat in the bottom for the life of me. i tried spring compressors and a rachet strap and it scared me too much with all the tension so i said screw it and put it back together stock. With the 3" spindles would i need longer brake lines? I hate the thought of switching out my oem's.

Supposedly you can switch the driver and pass side lines to make it work. I just bought the 6 inch extended SS lines. Love em.

I know what you mean, at one point I hade 3" springs plus a 1.5" spacer. You just have to jack it up high enough so the lower ca can drop all the way and shove the spring/spacer in the top and push down on the ca to get the spring kind of seated, then use a jack to jack up the ca until you can reconnect the upper ca to the spindle. But anyways at he spindle will be much better

Haha yeah. The upper control arm practically sat on the top spring bucket, so it slammed on the spring bucket over like every little bump. I had it like that for about 6 months. The ball joint angles really weren't that bad but it still put more stress on them

I got the cst lines. Check out my other thread I posted in the lifted section

hey there,

so the spindles really work - without ANY problem???

my truck is a 2wd, too. right now i am stuck between two lift options which shall be done in the beginning of the next year.

1. 3" bodylift with a 2" leveling kit = 5" total in front and 4.5" in the rear (3" bl plus a 1,5" spacer)
2. 6" CST kit (which is about 1K $ more expensive and cause of that not that interesting at the first view:)

this thread led mo to another idea which i´d like to discuss with you guys.

what about the following option nr. 3/compromise:
buying the 3" lift spindles mentioned in this thread plus adding a 3" bl and a 1.5" spacer for the rear. this would make 6" in the front and 4.5" in the rear. that is the same setup CST haas (height wise), way cheaper and without the problems a 2" spacer in the front might cause. or is my calculation wrong (adding the bl and the spindle)?

would that work?
is nr. 3 better for all the parts than nr 1 because of the missing spacer or are 2" spacers ok/don#t influence the ride quality?

thank you so much in advance!!!:)

That would work, and that would be much better than number 1. spacers will definitely affect ride quality

next time, with a huge post like this, start your own thread :)

but anyways, go with spindles and body lift if you dont want to affect ride quality

then after that you can add front and rear spacers to acheive the extra height you want.

hi sausec,

sorry for that:). i didn´t want to double the topics to i decided to go this route - but next time i´ll know it better;-).

so the 3" spindles plus the 3" body lift would give me a 6" lift for the front, right? in the rear i´d use a 1" or 1.5" spacer to achieve a 4 or 4.5" lift in the rear to get a level stance.
do i get that right?

The 3 inch spindles will completely level you with the rear if your 2wd. Then the body lift will too you off at a full 6 inches

yepp, i am 2wd. great! that sounds super! this seems to be the right route for and the best bang for the buck. now i know what i am saving for and can´t wait for spring 2014:). only about 7 months left till the sun comes out again:).

@bloombloom: do u have any probelms with the 02-08 springs compared to the stock ones?

oh, one more thing: do the 3" lift spindles work with the stock shocks?

I didn't change my springs, stock shock work just fine with the spindles. Suspension geometry is not changed
