I'm wanting a 3 inch level on my truck, but as far as I know, using coil spring spacers will put more stress on your ball joints and shorten the life.

If I bought 3 inch lift spindles, will the same thing occur?

With lift spindles can factory length shocks be used or will I need new longer ones?

correct, 02-12 uses the same spindle. use stock length shocks.

Excellent, thanks for the replays. Will I need to extend my front brake lines? Anything else ill need to do when installing these spindles?

when you get a chance, take a look at your stock spindle set up, that will show you why it doesn't effect your ball joints and why you will need extended brake lines

Will do, I don't completely understand how it doesn't add the stress, but with a spring spacer it does.

its a diy installation for some, but alignment will most likely be WAYY off. make sure you don't have to drive TOO far

Lol well I've heard what's been said as well, but hearing it and understanding it are 2 separate things..

I've done plenty of front end work on my old explorer, a spindle job should be cake, especially since I don't have cv shafts to deal with this time around

all the lifted spindles do is lower the point at where the hub attaches to the spindles, therefor lifting the truck. making it simple, its like lowering the point where the wheel is on the vehicle so none of the other suspension components are affected. When you add a spring spacer or longer coil springs, you increase the distance between the lower control arm and the top spring bucket. so then your control arms angle down more, changing the angle of all other suspension components such as the ball joints also creating a rougher ride and less travel

No problem. and I can speak from experience that springs and spacers will kill your ball joints, so does off roading... lol. little spacers arent that bad, highest I would go is 1.5", but if you do more you need cross member drops which usually only come with lift kits

So lets say, the 7 inch cst lift, which uses a 4 inch spindle and 3 inch springs, still creates that stress due to the taller springs?
