3.92 rear common?

I might be upgrading within the next few months and I'm looking for a truck with 3.92 rear because I tow a 33' travel trailer. I'm leaning toward another 4th gen but I was looking at the 5th gens and I noticed quite a few had 3.92's. In a 4th gen they are harder to find. Did they make more 3.92 equipped Rams in 5th gen? They seem much more common in 5th gen trucks.

It’s a very popular combo so dealers got wise and started ordering more of them likely. Wish they would order more of the tan interior than the charcoal.

Depends on your area. My local dealer is heavy on 3.21's, and I wanted 3.92, he had one, so I bought it.

5th Gen Rams. To the best of my knowledge, is that majority of 5.7s come with 3.21.
REBELS being an exception. All of those (both 3.6 and 5.7) come with 3.92.
Most of non-Rebel 3.6s, come with 3.55 gear ratio.

Finding the 3:92 is most likely a regional thing. I looked for a long time to find the set up I wanted, 5.7 / 3:92 / brake controller / 20” rims and NOT a sport appearance or night edition (nothing wrong with either of those, it’s just not my preferred look).

I live in a major metro area. Lots of 3:21 gears and V6s available for the daily commuters. Found the 3:92 was much more prevalent at the more rural dealers where a truck is more likely used for hauling and towing than commuting. I ended up finding mine at a dealer 4.5 hours from my hometown.

2019 1500, 5.7 4x4 3.92 Tradesman pulling an 8300 lb RV ,,,you knows its there but i am in rural New York in mountains and its no job pulling up the hills just guzzles more gas.....
