2014 Express Crew Cab black out edition with chrome 20s.

Wife was complaining about getting into the truck as She's short (5'2") and I'm like 6'1" so I don't have a problem.

Decided to go cheap as the truck is a lease (for now) but wanted something that will look good and last a while. Although I'm not a fan of nerf bars as I think it takes away from the look and style of the truck (esp the new Rams) I know whats good for me (happy wife = happy life).

These are 3" DIA tubing 304SS painted black, with all the bolt on bracketry that was painted. Install took about 30min with an impact wrench. All in all they work, they seem pretty sturdy and they look half way decent. Since the tubes are 304SS I don't see them rusting out anytime soon and will prob pull and paint the brackets with POR15 come summer time when its warm enough out (21*F in the AM right now and will only get colder).

Just thought Id throw this up in case you guys are up on the fence about nerf bars as I had through finding a lot of pics of diff setups on here. The BEST part is the cost… $118 shipped brand new from ebay!! Whoop whoop!

Looks good and seems like the price is hard to beat, though I'm curious how the paint will hold up.

2009 2014 Dodge RAM 1500 Crew Cab 3" Stainless Steel Side Step Nerf Bars Black | eBay

They have great customer service too so far. The pass side tube had a small ding (like someone took a bolt and hammered it hard causing a sharp deep circle imprint) and the paint did not chip. I sent a pic to the ebay store and they sent out a whole new kit for free, now I just need to remove the one bar and ship the kit back to them (they sent a prepaid return shipping label).

3" seems decent… I do wish they hugged the cab alittle closer but they do offer more protection from ppl or things bumping into the cab by being out farther.

One tube (pass side) had a "ding" in it, small but looks like a sharp hit and the paint did not chip… been through a small snow storm in the last week and no issues with the paint.

heres a pic of the dent, it was in the inside (toward the underside of the truck so it couldn't been seen). Paint is holding up fine. If it chips or peels or whatever you could always get them coated in bed liner, spray can bed liner or change the color at will. At $118 Im not worried if it starts to look narley after a while but so far all is good.
