Well, it’s finally done. The only thing I have to put in are the fender liners. And I’m going to do that after the alignment is completed.

New oil pan
New intermediate shaft (passenger side)
New CORE 4x4 upper control arms
New Mevotech TTX lower control arms
New Eibach Pro lift springs and struts
New Mevotech TTX inner and outer tie rods.
New cv axles
New Extreme Force wheels
New Nitto Tera Grappler G3 tires
Completely cleaned up rust on power stop rotors, primed and painted hub (both sides)

Changed front & rear differential fluids along with the transfer case. Did the transmission service as well.

I removed all the rust from the front bumper to about 3’ past the coil springs. Primed it with rust reformer. Then spray paint painted it black. Will probably use fluid film later. And I also use the Eastwood internal frame coating. And blew out the inside of the frame with the compressor and an air nozzle beforehand. I was surprised how much sand, grit and leaves came out inside the frame.

Rear suspension: new Helwig sway bar & bushings. New Eibach lift springs and shocks.

I still have the seven piece CORE 4x4 seven piece rear suspension package. I’m gonna do those later after taking a rest!

Looks great.
But why did you do all that?
Because I cannot afford a new truck. It has 160,000 miles on it. A lot of that was back-and-forth between New York State and Florida for several
Years. The front end was shot.

I had one bad wheel, which had a very slight wobble (factory wheels) on the last set of tires. I lived with it for several years. That is why I ordered a new set of wheels and tires from Custom Offsets.

We plan on getting about a 25 foot camper trailer to do some traveling. That is why I did so much suspension work.

Looks amazing! Must have taken a ton of work.

That Hellwig rear sway and the Eibach stuff is going to make that thing feel so planted driving now.

That’s what I’m hoping for. Alignment tomorrow afternoon. I had noticed a broken gasoline tank strap while underneath it doing the rust removal .

They ordered the part for me. 12 year extended warranty. Known problem. That’s getting fixed on Monday.

I am surprised your truck had the gas tank strap issue. It looks so dang clean under there.

I think if you keep going with repairs that truck is going to last you a lifetime.

Phase two will be removing the frame rust going back towards the rear suspension. Then rust reformer and black paint.

Then after that phase 3:

I have the 7 piece rear suspension package from Core 4x4. Upper & lower control arms, rear sway bar links, and track bar. I have to get rid of as must rust as possible in this area. Because the way these components get replaced as well. The suspension is loaded. And one piece at a time.

Great job! I’m excited to hear your opinion on how it handles after the alignment.
I’m sure you will very happy with how your truck rides, even more so, because you did all the work yourself.
Again great job, looks fantastic!

I did a lot of research on this. I read post on this forum. I used the track motive CV axles. This is a road vehicle and I don’t do any offloading. But I did use anti-seize on the inside and outside splines. Because in the event I have to replace these at I don’t want to go through that nightmare again replacing the passenger side CV axle!!! that’s just a very bad Design.

Sorry for the delay in posting this. I had the alignment done and it’s riding very well. Noticeable difference.
