3 Gen dodge with a 4gen bed

I accidentally got a fourth GEN bed on my third GEN truck the tail lights are different the adapter that’s on the truck won’t work with the lights I need for the fourth GEN bed the adapters are different I don’t know if I’m able to hard wire The adapters needed.If anybody could help I would appreciate it

Sorry I can't help you but I have to ask, how does one accidentally get the incorrect generation bed on their truck?

Also, you may want to post this over in the 3rd or 4th gen section if you do not get many answers here. This section is for the 2019+ new 5th generation rams.

I was under the impression that it was 08 not a 09 and by the time I got home it was to late I got it to work just need to get tails to work, but sorry I’m new here but thanks
