So the axle had to be changed out. How much bigger is that then factory? The whole idea in rock crawling is getting clearance for your pumpkin.
Lol I dunno. I dint get all that info.

It’s ok. I’m not in the market to re-gear. I’m not sure why I thought you would have crawled underneath to measure his axle while y’all were wheelin’. I saw a 2” difference in the Dana 60 back in my rock crawling Jeep days.

Is E 109 better or worse. I’m not familiar with the 3 digit number. I see them with a 109. Not sure how to get 121
I can google it if this is a complicated answer.
Grand Mesa probably knows... seems to have a plethora of knowledge in load range, when it come to tires.

I think it’s part of the mfg designation for the 10ply
When I was on the Nitto inerweb it shows 2 different type 10ply E rated.

YAY, back on schedule for this Thursday. Instead of further hijacking this awesome thread, I will reply only with a link to my build thread. Thanks for letting me share (and learning).

Wanted for each out before I pull the trigger. Would like to know if anyone is running 37s with their 4.10s. Is it sluggish, what has been in your experience?

Looking at ordering a rim and tire package from discount tire direct or something like that
So what did you decide?

Kanati Trail Hog A/T
It's a duratrac copy but with 3 ply sidewall E rating

Not noisy, they balanced great (worst tire 3 leads, best one none used)

I run them at 30-35 back and 35-40 front.

Paid 1100$ tax included canadian.

I got 4000 KM on them and for now recommend them.
:waytogo:

Edit: they have the snowpeak rating (its the law here in canada from december to march)

I bought the kananti mud hogs a year ago maby put 5000 miles on them, highway, winter, hot summer, trail, and hauling, including city driving. They still look great they handle the mud and snow great! but suck in the rain, the tires spin easily, one other thing te mud hogs are loud on the highway but its to be expected. Add all of this up? and for the price of $1000.00 for all 4 37X12.5x20 and you really cant beat them, at least in my opinion. I also love the way they look.tires.jpg Truck.jpg

I hear ya.
I’m on the fence with 37s
I have “ always been a bridesmaid and never a bride “ I only had 35s on my last 3 trucks and always wanted to scratch the itch on owning 37s.
