Last week, my brake light out warning came on the dash, and found it to be the 3rd brake light. Went out and purchased the new bulb (921), and went to replace it and found the socket to be a little blackened.
It's not melted, but it worries me a little. My old Jeep with 5 times as many miles never looked burnt.
Should I have the socket replaced? And if I put LEDs in there would it help from getting crispy again?
