3rd gen cap on 4th gen question.

I picked up a 3rd gen cap for my 2018. Fits pretty good. For those that have done this, what did you do to the rear window to make it fit? Just trim the window frame where it hits tailgate?

The caps have a specific window with a cover that fits over the tailgate. The bottom portion is made out of fiberglass and attaches to the lower part of the cap window.

You might consider contacting the cap manufacturer and just purchasing that part. I know on my ARE, every piece but the shell could be purchased as a replacement.

It’s an aluminum frame around the window.

Looks like the company that made the cap is out of business. It’s an Arrow. Some Canadian company that is closed.

Dang now you’ve motivated me to find one to fit my 22 warlock! I’ve always wanted a bed cap but couldn’t bring myself to spend 1000s

I know this is an old thread, but I'm curious how you made the rear window shut.

Bent to bottom lip up until fit. Not perfect but it works. I’ll take pictures later.
