So does RamGM still offers regular cab pickups
The 5th Gen Ram 1500 is not offered in regular cab configuration. So does Ram
But the classic 1500 and heavy duty rams are, and those are all included in the total numbers for truck sales. The 5th Gen Ram 1500 is not offered in regular cab configuration.
I beg to differ.GM still offers regular cab pickups, which some buyers really like. Ram doesn't have a player in that game at all... it's gotta be costing them sales, especially in the fleet game.
Also GM has a better base engine than Ram's Pentastar. Their "turbomax" four puts out 430lb/ft of torque at 3000 RPM and they stand behind it for 100,000mi.
Please show me a regular cab 5th Gen Ram 1500. They don't exist. Regular cab new F-150s and Silverado 1500s are available. If you want a RCSB 1500 truck your options are Ford or GM.I beg to differ.
My second vehicle is a RCSB Sierra. I like having a full size around for hauling people/goosenecks but for a trip to town the short wheelbase is nice. Can't imagine anyone wanting a RCSB pickup these days.
Your post (#2) said nothing about a 1500 model. You simply said, "GM still offers regular cab pickups, which some buyers really like. Personally, no. However, my company truck and BTW, all they purchase are single cab tradesman with liftgates is decent. There are times I'm frustrated at the lack of interior space however, enjoy the short turning radius and easy maneuverability of the smaller truck as opposed to my crewcab. The liftgate has been a godsend. Makes moving a fridge or my 700lb gun safe easy peasy. Can't imagine anyone wanting a RCSB pickup these days.
I drove RCSB trucks for years... a Ranger, then a Silverado, then a Ram 1500. Wasn't until we got our second dog that I wanted something with more interior space, so traded the RCSB Ram for my current quad cab. Can't imagine anyone wanting a RCSB pickup these days.
You really lack imagination. I wish I had mine back. Can't imagine anyone wanting a RCSB pickup these days.
This is my 3rd pick-up, all have been RCs. This current one is the only LB I've had. I hunt a lot, and trying to turn an extended cab truck around on top of a skinny, muddy levee road in the dark can be problematic with an extra couple of feet to deal with. I'll stick with the RC. Plenty of room in the front for a couple guys, and the dog rides in a crate in the back anyway. You really lack imagination. I wish I had mine back.
I miss the way mine moved mostly. It was quicker. Felt very sporty. Day to day I hate the QC in the parking lot at Walmart. This is my 3rd pick-up, all have been RCs. I realize I sort of made up the difference by getting RC with the LB, but with this truck I wanted the 4000# cargo and 15,000# towing capacities and getting an extended cab and/or SB would have limited me. I know getting the Cummins would have raised my towing capacity by 4000#, but I don't need that much and it also would have lowered my cargo capacity by 900#, and I do need that.I miss the way mine moved mostly. My 73 Ford was a RCLB and I agree that it's not nearly as nice to drive as a SB, but it still drove better and it was easier to see out of it. Another truck I wish I still had.I realize I sort of made up the difference by getting RC with the LB, but with this truck I wanted the 4000# cargo and 15,000# towing capacities and getting an extended cab and/or SB would have limited me.
