I picked up a used ring and pinion complete unit with the trac loc lsd bolted on. one of the gear teeth looks worn down, it's not broken off or galled, the pinion looks fine, no damage there, aLso some of the teeth have polished spots on them, is the ring gear still usable?

Your photos aren't viewable. If teeth are worn down i wouldn't run it and considering TracLoc sucks, without more information I'd be passing on it

I've had incredible performance out of the trac loc unit in my bone stock truck. the photos should be viewable now

Yeah the Trac loc is great, until the clutches start to go, spewing a fine mist of metal, fiber, and clip material into the gear. The pinion bearing gets an ulcer and the carnage is swift and destructive.

You're buying a used ring and pinion with two suspiciously worn teeth and lots of gear wear. How new do you think the clutch facings are?

It'd be like using Dodge Charger springs for add a leafs.

You'll find that the 2nd gen Dodge is a harsh teacher when things are done half-assed. But go for it! I just wish you'd stop asking and try it!
