Im new to this forum and have a 2013 ram 1500 4.7 that I am currently swapping with a 5.7 hemi with a stage 3 cam from SDParts. I am currently ready to put the engine in but I am confused about the PCM because don’t know which one to get or if it will even work. I have a harness that will fit the engine but I am lost on the PCM part. If anyone knows anything please get back to me.

I would try to get one out of a wrecked truck of the same year just in case there is a compatibility issue. I saw a lot of cheap PCM's on eBay that said they would program your VIN in but you would need to give them 5.7L info.

I can't give you specifics, but would say at minimum you would need to get the existing PCM programmed. I'm sure there are different fuel and spark tables between the different engines. Not sure on sensor signals and what one may need or have versus the other. As mentioned above the other option would be to replace the PCM with one from an original 5.7 truck. If the 5.7 is modified you may need to have the PCM programmed to accomodate the mods. Might want to do a search for companies that specialize in Mopar performance stuff and see what they say.
