Going to be installing a Kenwood XR400-4 amp behind the back seat of my 2010 Crew Cab. Was looking for a way to connect this to my components i'm gonna be installing. I see i can get some 9 conductor speaker wire http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...y-Scosche.html and just run this behind the deck and connect to the factory wiring. The amp pushes 75w rms x 4 and wanted to make sure this 18awg wire is good enough for this.

The other option is to run new wires into each of the doors but not sure how difficult this process is gonna be. If i do this what size wire should be run??

I would personally run new wire. I would hate to put the time and money into it just to be limited by ****** wire.

My gut feeling is that 18 ga is just not enough for that kind of power.

This is the final piece for my stereo install before i actually start putting everything in but want to make sure i have all the materials needed so i can get it installed quickly. Can't have the rear seats out too long due to the 2 kids who like to ride back there. lol

I would go with a heavier guage wire. All of my builds it seemed like I always had better sound with 12 to 14 awg instead of using factory wiring.

I ran new wire to each door with mine. It wasn't hard, just took a little time. I was able to use the factory rubber tubes and wire grommet/plug holes on all but the driver door. That plug was already full so I came out right below it and just went into the rubber tube from there.

Edit: Meant to say "It wasn't hard..."
