Hey guys, new to the forum and looking for a little help?

I've got a 2017 Ram 1500 4x4 crew cab and I'm considering lifting it 4 inches. However, the wife is not a big fan and I'm trying to find some pics or video's that might show her how the lift looks next to regular 1500's or other trucks? I'm trying to explain to her that its not going to look like some of the 6, 8, or higher inch lifts out there that really stand out. To put things in perspective my brother in-law purchased a used F-350 HD and that thing sits high and I'm trying to convince her that it shouldn't be much bigger than that. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I will try and find a ram over the next few days and snap a pic. I thought I had one but can’t find it. My wife was the same way and told me lifted trucks look like LEGO trucks. I put the 4” on my truck with 35’s and she said she actually likes the way it looks.

I like it! Thanks for posting!

Quick follow up question?... As far as the 4 inch lift I've read some good things on the Mopar or aka Superlift and BDS/Zone lifts. Do those actually lift the truck about an inch higher than the 4inch rough country? Reason I ask is if you look on Custom Offsets website and do the advance search function it sort of looks like the Mopar/Superlifts have a slightly wider wheel well spacing (from top of the tire to the wheel well) vs. the rough country? I don't mind spending the extra money for the zone or Superlifts just want to understand if there is a slight difference? Thanks again!

I don’t have an exact answer for your question but when I did my research on lifts it seemed kinda across the board meaning jeeps, Toyota’s, Chevy , Ford I found that rough country tended to be more of a cheaper/ budget friendly lift and cheaper quality. Zone which is a division of bds is mid grade and bds is the best of the 3 quality wise. I chose to go with zone and I have had it for almost 2 years and have had no issues. Just my 2 cents on the different lifts you had mentioned.

Thanks again for the reply Great White! BTW do you have any other pic's of your truck you can post? It looks like its just on your avatar? Also any thoughts on the Mopar/Superlift kit? I'm assuming that's a pretty good one if the dealerships and Mopar is branding, installing it right?

Very nice! I've got the same Moto metal wheel on mine with 305/55's . Mine's a silver Big Horn so I think that wheel goes great with white and silver trucks.

Mine is a 2wd (slightly lower than a 4x4) but has a 4.5 inch front/ 3 inch rear lift on it with 35s on the top picture and the bottom picture is completely stock no level or anything. Hope this helped.

Edit: sorry the top pic doesnt show the lift well because it is not on flat ground. My rear is about an inch higher than the front in all actuality

Nice looking truck my Man .... I really like the stance ...

If you don't mind, what is the total distance from ground to fenders and center of your wheels to the fenders?

For the price diff, as long as you’re not poundin the offroad, I highly suggest Zone ... 5 years with no issues ... If you’re muddin and climbin hills, then BDS is the way to go ...

I don’t have these measurements right now but I will take some tomorrow and I’ll post them up.

I was thinking about it but I would have to add another inch-inch and a half to the front before I could

Really? Damn... I have bils up front set at 2.1. Thinking of going with a 4in lift and setting them at 2.8 and adding a spacer to the rear. I'm on 22in hellcats so I need the room to fit some tire

Coming here and asking us to help you spend money is like going into a crack den and asking if you should smoke crack [emoji1787]

The art of falsifying reasons to need mods is an art and can’t really be taught lol. But you could always use some sort of safety reason. Like you’ll sit higher and better for driving off road if a zombie apocalypse happens. Sorry, when it happens

Maybe you can sell her on the bilsteins at 2.8 and 1.75 in rear. Should be around $1000 with zone UCA’s [emoji106]. Somewhat stock looking
