Just curious if anybody has put a bullydog tripledog gt on their 4th gen 1500 with the 4.7l engine? Particularly the 2009 1500.

Really? I heard it doesn't add enough power to gas vehicles so there is nothing to worry about tranny wise. Maybe i heard wrong though?

Hmm well ****, i ordered one a couple days ago cause my friend got one(granted it was for his silverado 1500) and it did wonders for his truck, amazing increase in power, take off, and mpg. It should get here tomorrow, i'll install it and see if anythings out of the ordinary for a couple days because i've read on some other websites that it did great in their 4th gen rams. Wanted 2nd opinions on this forum though So maybe his had a defect ha idk. I wont do anything major enough to cause tranny problems just normal driving to see if i can tell a difference.

"I'VE always loved Bully Dog....they offer the biggest gains.....people complained about blowing trannys on their diesels with them but hey that's their fault for selecting the highest power level.....and dodges fault for having trannies unable to handle that power.....with gas the power increase won't be as huge so I'm not worried bout the tranny" One of the couple of things ive heard along these lines on other forums/websites.

Tell me what happens because I looked at it but just didn't like the thought of losing a transmission

I've got a bullydog on my hemi And love it. I wouldn't have another tuner unless I was planning on doing major engine mods. But for my plans it fits perfect.

Will do ramrunner. And thats good to hear statcher1. I have the 4.7 so just want that little extra power the bully dog gives. Only mods i plan on doing is exhaust and intake.

I recently had a 2010 dodge ram 4.7 before I got my hemi but I had the bully dog tuner and had set for premium tune, built me a cai just for the hell of it lol and it worked better than my spectre cai. I had 3" pvc pipe run down to the bumper and it got it's air from the black piece on the bumper I drilled out holes. I also had a ported tb from moes and did a muffler delete. And it moved pretty good. On the 1/4 mile on the tuner I ran a 14.9 which I think was pretty good for a 4.7 with a few mods

The bully dog has good canned tunes but if u wanted a custom tune then get a Diablo w/ hemifever. Cuz Diablo canned tunes suck imo
