if you want to keep your factory HU and run amps, you need line out converters to convert speaker level wiring to RCA outputs to run to your amps.

Yes JJ is right ... they all are the same ... PAC is the one most people go with . Pretty cheap also .

Alright my stereo is done, I put everything in myself, except i had a fiberglass box made for me and just got it in today. It is a big difference from the prefab I had before. My system doesn't shake the earth, but it gets loud and the bass is now even. Don't get me wrong, it has a little thump, moves mirrors and you can feel the air moving.

I am content with it, don't need more, will add a back up camera when possible. my alpine amp birth sheet was 97*4 and 417*1 btw.

Looks good! Its a truck so it is a bit harder to shake the earth for sure. My brother has the same setup as me but it is much louder in his car. Resonance :)

I'm actually pretty happy with the stock Alpine set-up I have at the moment. I mean it could always be louder but most systems can be. For stock though I'm pretty impressed. I'd like a bit more mid range bass but the stereo isn't something that I need to worry about anytime soon. I do know where I'm gonna come when I need some ideas for upgrades though.

I didn't have the stock alpine system, I did however buy the center speaker cover with the alpine logo because everything except the head unit is alpine.

I had the res but without Bluetooth. I wanted Bluetooth for audio and phone. I wanted dvd for back up camera and I also make surround dd 5.1 (4.1) dvd from dts cd.

I am happy with it. Did it myself so budget friendly and fun. Do not think I would have messed with the alpine stock if I had it to begin with.

ya im keeping the head unit i currently have 2 amps and 2 10'' subs and new speakers also have the (i forget what its called) the device that makes it so you can watch the dvd while you drive. My brother is fabricating a box for behind my seat he has it drawn up and looks sick i have to remove the behind the seat storage box but hes implementing it into the sub box. And the amps are getting installed im my truck bed (its got a mopar rug and a flip cover no water gets in it i pressured washed it with my son inside and its dry as day and mounting 4 fans to help with the heat. Once i get everything as far as wires and the box that lets me use my head unit ill post up my pics of insulation. Was going to mount the amps on my roof like someone else did here but after seeing how they looked inside the bed with the leds well i gots to go that route
