I wanna try mine not this Friday but next if the weather is good.
I wanna see what it does with no tuner on it then see what it picks up with the Diablo after they hit the market.

You're not invited because you have a tuned R/T! jkjkjk :p

I would love that. I would say two-three weeks I will be back down there with my next set of mods.

Hopefully have my headers/efan/tune on there by then. Have this 4door in the 13s disproving the doubters (;

this guy dosen't own a R/T lol i have a Loaded SLT that i caught a good deal on the front bumper and add a stall and a bunch of other goodies.... did i mention i ran a 13.38 @ 102mph last weekend on street tires! couldn't get a back up pass so it's not official.... however I'm going back next weekend to make a few more passes on slicks and skinnys..

yes it is i was very very very excited.. and then I backed it up with a 14.1 lol i'm not going to be posting my slips until i can run it more than once. hopefully i'll be able to hit the mark. this was also full street weight. no weight reduction at all.. i'm getting a 87MM throttlebody and headers next which hopefully "crosses fingers" ill give me a 13.0 or a 12.99999999 lol we will see.. these trucks have a bunch left on the table tuning wise. i'm just lucky to have a good tuner.

Headers and a TB are not gonna shave a second off your times.
You're talking about a ~20hp increase...you might drop a tenth or so but not more than that.
Unless you have some other mods I missed I think you're gonna be disappointed if you're setting your sights on a 12.9-13.0

I think you should be right there at 12.9-13.1 if you drop a little weight. With the 87mm TB and headers, working with all the other mods you have... you'll probably be up a bunch of power.

He ran a 13.38, so he only needs to drop .39. That is still going t be tough with just headers and TB when you are already that deep into the 13's, but anything is possible when the weather cooperates. Longtubes (combined with tuning) have shown gains of up to 25hp and the same in tq on these 4th gens. If he can put that extra tq into some quicker 60' times, it is very possible.

Here is what my plans are. 15x3.5 weld racing prostars.. " me and a buddy have been working on the adapter set up" that alone drops almost 100 lbs off the front of the truck... I'm going to fine tune the suspension. Getting fully adjustable qa1's. lose the front sway bar. Short belt. Ditch the tailgate and see what it runs. I know this thing has a high 12 in it.. It feels way to strong not to.. It might not be till next winter till I get to run in good weather " working a month and getting off a month" only time will tell... Bottom line is these trucks are strong I think with someone who can tune good and understands what's going on these things will make good numbers..

Correct me if I missed it...but I saw some low 14's and one 13.3x?
If I missed more low 13's my apologies.
One single low 13 and no other runs even into the 13's begs the question of a mistake with the timing system.

So how many low 13 second passes have you made?

I guess I need to get some tuning done...if I have every bolt on available as of today along with the ability to adjust the shocks and suspension I might have a 12 second truck myself.

With his mods, he should be mid 13's. I know it would have been nice to have a backup pass, but at his weight and last weeks DA, I'm sure that was not a fluke pass. Only 1 way to find out though. Get it back on the track and give it hell.

With tuning and a converter, I dont see any reason why you will not run a low 13/high 12. There are a few guys with boltons, converter, and tune running low 13's. Factor in your suspension upgrades, and the unbeatable air we get down here during the winter...it is possible. These trucks respond much better to cold air than the diesels do.
