Thanks for the input. I just swapped mufflers (no kit) from stock to the 14" Maggy. I'm wanting black 5" tips to continue with my White/Black them. Trying to rid the "Ghost" of all chrome accents.

How do you like the Magnaflow? A buddy and I are both thinking hard about getting that same one for our trucks. Is it loud? We don't want stupid loud, just a decent rumble. Any idea how much pipe you needed to make up for the stock muffler?

I like it. I just wish it was a little louder at idle. I kept everything stock...just swapped mufflers. Left the resonators and all. You hear it anytime you're on the accelerator. But sitting at a light/stop sign, it's almost stock sound. Cruising there's no drone even when MDS kicks in. Next thing I'm doing is going with 5" outlet tips to see/hear what that does.

How does this relate to exhaust?

I've noticed you rarely contribute to discussions and seem to enjoy dropping one liners to try and bust somebody's balls. Kind of annoying to see you posting dumb stuff everywhere. Thank you for letting me rant and have a nice day.

he mentioned he was getting rid of all the chrome accents and I said I was doing the same. And I was curious about the 5" tips as well. and I tried to throw a joke in there. So no it isn't related to exhaust, but oh well. Not every reply on every thread is on topic is it. Sorry OP I won't derail your thread anymore. As you were.

I bought a 2 foot piece of stainless for like $20 off an exhaust shop near me and there was only about a 5-6" cut leftover. Make sure you get stainless. If you just want a "decent rumble" at startup and idle and a decent rumble at acceleration as you stated get the chambered 14" Magna and leave the resonator on. If you want stupid loud, get the free flow-through version of MF's 14" instead of the chambered 14" and take the reso off. No offense to anyone who has that setup, but I highly doubt you're my age ;)
