The 8 speed fluid is not spec'd by Mopar,it's spec'd by ZF . Ma Mopar buys the transmissions already pre-filled from ZF,except for the little 854E ,which Mopar builds under licence from ZF
This is what I just used for a full auto trans fluid flush and change, plus new genuine pan/filter. Cost $AUD660 which is about $US450.

I believe this is identical to Penrite BMV. Looks and smells identical:

Uh, wut?

Show me the electronic actuator, please.
Seeing your post, I remembered this video..

Torsen is an LSD, but acts like an auto-locker when needed. I believe the guy in the video explains it better than I ever could.

If I was looking for lockers, I would choose the OX cable locker with an electric actuator.

Well, the e-locker is on demand and probably less costly than the all gear torsen. But I like the torsen, am glad I have it. I was just astonished they spend the money on it, and an 11.5" diameter ring gear! Much bigger than Ford's acclaimed Super Duty Heavy Duty rear axle!

But those days are over, and Sergio and Carlos cut their way to profitability without reinvesting. Just putting out the Hurricane was hardly a complete product portfolio plan.

I just checked with OX.. Unfortunately they don't have anything for the Ram. I wish they did.
I guess it is only E-Lockers right now for me. I wonder what the PowerWagon uses.

I checked on what lockers the PowerWagon uses. Its AAM's TracRite lockers.
In the front it uses the TracRite EL. In the rear it uses TracRite GTL, which is a combination of a Torsen style LSD and Elocker in one.

Current model? Thought I'd read Carlos got rid of it for a cheap limited slip clutch differential?

I’m not sure about which model, but according to the search I did and ChatGPT, it’s the TracRite.
There's a website you can confirm your build options - I didn't memorize it, members have mentioned it before, you probably can find it by search engine.

Anyway, I run non-LS additive synthetic in mine. The only two I could find are MOPAR's 75W-85 blend and Mobil's Delvac 1 75W-90. I run the Delvac. Damn thing takes an entire U.S. Gallon of oil!

Amsoil is well recognized as a superior gear oil but they don't have a non-LS additized version. Only the torsen differential is sensitive to LS additive - open differentials don't care.
