Bet it'll look badass. I struggle seeing sides/behind well using my side views having 20% on the fronts though, couldn't imagine much darker for me

Loving it. Hoping it was the same as my challenger and it seems to be. Not dark at all in the daytime. I don’t drive a ton when it’s too dark so not gonna worry about that. My challenger caused way more issues just from the pillars blocking view than the tint ever did. Drive past an officer sitting by the school on the way home and he didn’t chase me down lol. I think I’m pretty safe around here as far as that goes.

I thought that once....then I got my third tint ticket and decided to finally give up....went legal limit around and still get pulled over periodically, but always skate by with a 1-3% variance in testers....always ************....

I’ve driven for years with illegal tint and never had a problem. One speeding ticket in my entire life and even when I got pulled over that time they didn’t mention anything.

My nephew is a cop in AZ, and he states they have been told not to pull anyone over for tinted windows as it is considered a judgement call on the part of the officer which can cause more issues of legality. Officers are not trained as tint darkness meters readers. Of course he has limo tint on both of his cars and loves it.

Excellent! Cops in your area clearly don't care about tint. Hope it continues for you.

Washington and North Carolina both have many officers with tint readers in their toolkit. They give some leniency to the reader for accuracy....but anything less than 31% per the reader (35% legal limit) you'll get a ticket...

It appears the OK cops don't care either, very likely for similar reasons to the AZ cops.

I can say that when I lived in Phoenix, I never had any hassles with tint, even with 3 and 5% on my cars. Then again, the solar radiation in AZ is significantly higher than in WA.

If anyone in the Houston Texas area knows of an optometrist(eye doctor) that could sign off the tint exemption form, please let me know !

is 5% legal in any state?
Iowa State Patrol is really starting to enforce their maximum 30% tint law for front side windows. My friend got a $127 ticket two weeks ago as we drove through Des Moines. Nebraska allows 35% tint, but they haven't been enforcing much.

Officer discretion is officer discretion. However, tint can be used as reasonable suspicion for a stop ;-)

In NY it's now part of the vehicles annual inspection. You have illegal tint you don't pass inspection, and from what I hear they do it in such a way that you can't get around it, other than removing it. That being said I already know a handful of people who remove it and reapply it each year.

Good business opportunity to remove and reapply the same day in the parking lot of the inspection stations.
Back in the day aiming headlights used to be part of the inspection process now they don’t care.
If anyone watches live PD no one has a license registration or insurance it’s insane. Tint is fine as long as all windows are down while interacting with an officer in the event one pulls you over. Windows down hands in view their job sucks they have to deal with idiots all day so don’t be one.

I don’t know where I was going with that kinda started venting LOL

The form is usually on your states website and you would bring it to any eye doctor.
