50 gallon tank

Has anybody gotten the 50 gallon fuel tank on the 2500? Just wondering if the fuel gauge reads fairly accurate.

I installed a Titan tank with a Fleece lift pump, am still on my first 50 gallons. For the first 175 miles I thought the sending unit was defective, it stayed pegged on F. Over the next 75 miles the gauge went down to 3/4 full. I don’t know what to make of my experience so far. Will report back when I fill up and can see how many gallons it takes against the gauge reading. If I do the math in my head, it is reading accurate but the part that is confusing is that first 175 miles and still on F.

You’ll need to change your fuel tank size to 50 gal in the computer. I’m not sure if alpha obd works on the 2500. If it does that should fix your problem.

I wish they put 33 gallon standard on 1500 with the option of 50.

My seems to read pretty accurately. Fill ups at gauge reading 1/2 = close to 25 gal at fill up , 1/4 on gauge = around 38 gallons

Thinking of making the same mod. Did you reprogram? If so what did you use?

Not a mod, ordered mine as a Cab/Chassis and 52 gallon tank is standard
