Was discussing with a buddy about some of the crazy trucks coming out (got on a tangent about the 2500 Warlord, and the 1500 TRX Mammoths), and started to think, comparing the 4th gen 5.7l V-8 NA in the "normal" 1500, to the "normal" 5th gen 5.7L NA V-8, without the E-Torque/Auto-Start/Stop crap. Is there any real difference? Like I expect Dodge/FCA/Stellaris made some iterative changes, but were there any "generational" jumps? The discussions I found in a quick google were all about the 6.7L Cummins in the 2500's.
And if so, are they the kind of changes that make the engine cheaper/easier to make, or do they "fix" any issues, and so I should look into?
