Hello all. I can’t seem to find much info on my 2021 Dodge Ram 3500 (Dually). I need to know how to replace the blend door actuator for the driver side. Passenger side heat is good. Cold air is good on both sides. No heat is the issue. Floor no heat either. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ps. I removed the glove box to see if there was an actuator but no actuator is visible behind the glove box. Help!!!

Does the truck have the dual zone automatic climate control? (there will be temperature settings for the passenger and driver)
If it doesn't have the dual zone ATC, there is only one blend door for temperature and you most likely have a plugged heater core. There's many threads on this forum about it, some have been lucky to back flush the heater core but the ultimate fix is replacement.

I don't have the dual zone equipped on my truck but I did flush the heater core once and it was fairly clean. I would really like to tackle the replacement of the actuator but I have found nothing on how to perform the replacement for this 5th gen. 3500

For one thing you may as well call the 3500 Ram a Generation 4 Ram

Every HVAC System has at least 4 Actuators
Most ProMaster Vans have 5 actuators

The first one is above the upper glove box, it moves the Recirculation Door

The second actuator moves the Blend Door, it is just to the left of the Blower Motor

The third & forth Actuators are behind & slightly below the HVAC Controls, These Doors are called the Mode Doors, #1 & #2
they direct the air flow to the Defrost & Floor settings.
The other door controls the air flow to the Dash Center Vents

Some day, some one that disassembles & reassembles the complete HVAC UNIT,
will think about how the Driver vs. Passenger air flow is controlled & make a Youtube video about it

Just because you didn't see gunk come out of the core doesn't mean it isn't clogged. Flushing is a 50/50 chance. That sounds much more likely than a bad actuator. If the actuators are moving when you tell them to, the likelihood of them being bad is slim. First symptom of a clogged core is no heat on the driverside.

Found this when I did the core in my 2010 years ago, there's a baffle running down the center of the plenum that splits the drivers\pass side air flow.

nice

Guys need to consider RMI 25, it takes any contamination and deposits it harmless into over flow tank.

The OP has a Cummins, it is possible it is much worse then an air issue. EGR cooler can be a culprit here, and this small issue can not only show a the beginnings of a clogged HC, but also a clogged EGR cooler that was the original cause of the heater core getting clogged in the first place.

Don't shoot the messenger...
