I decided to go this route for oil changes on the 6.4. Really appreciate all the advice & information I've seen on this forum when it comes to oil changes for the 6.4. For me, its the easiest and nearly the least expensive route. Never had a service contract before, but, this seems to be a good way to go. Any RAM service center can look up the contract and perform the work. For 4 oil changes it comes out to $71.50 each. Of course, you've got to pay all of it up front. Cost per change is within a few bucks of what it would cost me to order all the stuff off the internet and do it myself. RAM service center is a 5 minute walk from work....this works for me! Funny thing, the dealer charges $100 for a 6.4 oil change if your not in a contract. A local shop I like to use has to charge $120 for the 6.4 oil change, by the time they put their profit on the oil & service....crazy! You think RAM/Chrysler is making decent interest off these service contracts to make them work?

I checked about going this route but had to use all 4 oil changes within 2 years. This doesn't work for me because I change my oil yearly- less than 7000 miles per year.

I won't have that problem. Good point to consider.
