2021 power wagon burns 1 quart every 6000 miles no leaks no smoke, I think its because the oil is so thin

engines use oil no matter what. vapor is directed back to the intake. 4 or 5oz which is hardly noticable on the dipstick. a qaurt wouldnt be unreasonable if you run it hard alot

This is just a very simple question....Mobil1 0w40 Euro Spec oil is different how from Pennzoil PUP 0w40 motor oil...
Why wouldn't you be able to use either one in your 6.4?

Never had any problem with a dry installed filter. Like you said just a couple seconds and oil pressure is up and strong.
I have only ever pre-filled one kind of filter in my life, and that has been on our Polaris quads. Because if you don't, they won't prime on their own and you have to pinch off some hose to get them to prime. Even then, I considered it part of the amount that had to go back in.

Every other oil change has been done by placing a new filter on, bone dry except a light coat of oil on the rubber gasket, just to make sure it'll spin on fully.

My comment to someone else about the oil filter being saturated when you pull it off, and why you never get the full amount back out, is that the paper/media in the filter gets saturated with oil, and you'll never get it all back out. Just compare the weight of a 'drained' used filter, to that of a brand-new filter - the brand new one is considerably lighter.
