6 SPEED SHIFTING

JUST INSTALLED PROCHARGER SUPERCHARGER,JB HEADERS, AIR BAGS,TO BUMP UP TOWING FOR MY TOY HAULER,WONDERING IF KNOW OF ANY BRAND SHIFTER MANUFACTURER SO I CAN MAKE EASIER SHIFTS ON MY MANUAL TRANNY !!!

Then try telling us what you have besides a 2006 hemi. I assume you have a 2500 since you have a 6sp manual?

my truck is 2500,5.7l,6 speed tranny ,im pretty sure its a new venture,been looking for shifters ,can't decipher holly/hurst ijnfo and don't see much info on it

With your truck being a 2006 MY the transmission is more than likely going to be the Getrag G-56 instead of the NV5600. It really all depends on the build date of your truck. I have seen a few of the early build 2006 models that had the NV5600 but that's it. Most of the 2006+ trucks utilize the G-56.

You can tell really easy by the location of Reverse in the shift pattern. If your Reverse is to the far right and up then you have the NV5600 built by New Venture. If Reverse is located to the far left and down then you have the Getrag G-56. There are a few short throw shifters available for each transmission. The main shifter I have used in the past and recommended to my customers with the G-56 has been the 8" short throw shifter available from Ohio Diesel Parts. The shifter is machines from 304 stainless and looks really good and works very well. Here is a link:

If for some reason you do have a very early build 2006 model and the truck is equipped with the NV5600 then this is the shifter I have in my 2005 Ram 2500...
