Hi all, I just got an email today about the recall again. No, I did not get it done. The email is from Cummins and they are offering $500 to get the recall done. $1000 if I act fast and do it now. If I am one of the first 750 people between 2/17 and 3/31.

I bit on the ******'s swag offer. I was really interested in getting the extended warranty offer for the emissions system since I have a 2015 and have no plans to replace it (it's never seen a snowflake or a salted road). Are they still offering the swag in addition to the cash?

There was no change in my fuel mileage or DEF usage unless I was towing. When towing, I use more DEF. From reading, the result is model year specific. I do get a recurring code and check engine light. After several ignition cycles, the check engine light goes off, but then it comes back on a few days later. I need to take it to the dealer so they can figure out why. I always have the option to reduce the engine's weight, but I'm holding off. If they can get the emission system to work without annoying me, then I'll leave it be.

If you get the $1K, that puts you about halfway toward a weight-loss goal, as a last resort.

Know of one person who did the recall and the extended warranty fix his broken DEF problems, he had the problems before the recall so he came out ahead on that one

In addition to the $500 customers can receive for completing Recall 67A, if you are one of the first 750 to complete it starting 2/17/26 and submit their claim by 6/21/26, you will receive an additional $500. Visit our website, cumminsrecall.com, or go directly to https://www.cumminsrecall.com/claim to submit your claim and be one of the 750 to double your $500!
