Can I use the four-way and seven way connector at the same time? When I have my kayaks on the back of the camper, it blocks the lights and I’m wanting to add a set of magnetic lights. Is this possible?

Provided that the overall current draw is within the fused value of the circuit, I can't imagine that you will have any problems.

If you're using LED lighting, the current won't be an issue.

For incandescent bulbs, I'd do the math first based on the wattage of all the bulbs you want to use.

First, you'll need to see if you can have both covers open on your truck's plug. I haven't tried with mine, but I know on my dad's F450 he cannot.

This makes it so he can't (or couldn't) plug in both his truck camper AND the little tag-along trailer he takes to deer camp.

What he ended up doing was splicing into the harness for his truck camper for the lights and adding a 4-prong to the light/ground circuit, then hooking his trailer into that. It has worked well for the last 16 years. All incandescent bulbs.

That said, you've got other options. You can look into rearranging the kayaks to let the tail lights be visible (this one is free!). You could add tail lights to the back of the camper somewhere and splice into the wiring back there (I've seen this done, it actually works out okay as long as you make sure everything gets sealed back up properly). Or you can try to add a set of lights using the 4-way, but that's a LONG harness depending on the size of your camper.

honestly, if this is something that happens more then sporadic, i think Henry here is right, and you should rearrange either the lights on the trailer or the kayaks so this isnt an issue

Yes you can. I use to run a LED bar under the tailgate plugged into the 4pin and trailer plug into the 7way.
